Kenneth R. Henry, 86, of New Tripoli, died March 15th 2016 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the widower of Norine A. Henry who died in 1991. Born in the Kempton area on December 3. 1929, he was a son of the late Roy and Miriam Henry.
He was a dairy farmer with his father and brother for many years before working as an installer for Verizon. He was a member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township. In his younger days, Kenneth was involved in many community organizations. He served on the church council of his church, and also on the school board of the Kutztown School District. He was involved in the Kempton Community Center and helped to build the first building at its present location. He also volunteered as an auxiliary policeman at many local events.
Survivors: His survivors include his daughters Susan J., wife of Ronald Hartman of Kempton, Ann P. Henry of Tamaqua, Judy L. Ritchie of Aurora, Colorado, and sons Scot A. Henry, husband of Heidi of Shoemakersville, and Kris R. Henry, husband of Mary of Manistique, Michigan, and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Russell Henry, husband of Virginia of Topton, and his beloved friend, Ruth Seither of New Tripoli.
Services: His memorial service will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3 P.M. at Jacob's Church, Jacksonville. It will be officiated by Rev. Scott Shay.
