Obituary: “C. Malmstadt is Dead at 82: Retired Marinette Merchant Dies today after long illness”

Chales F. Malmstadt, 82, retired Marinette merchant, dies this afternoon at 1 o’clock at his home, 1323 Shore Drive. He was in ill health for two years. The deceased was a dealer in coal and building supplies here for 30 years. he was born in Sweden January 13 1858 and resided in this city for 50 years. Survivors are three sons, Edmund J. of Racine and Frank and Guy of Marinette; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Erickson, Mrs. Walter Seymour and Hazel of this city; four brothers, August of Green Bay, Alfred of McAllen, Texas, Axel of Escanaba and Adolph of Tacoma Wash.; 33 grandchildren and 17 gread grandchildren. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Marinette. The remains were taken to the Hansen and Onion funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
