Some notes I have say marriage was 27 Dec 1861

“She eventually came to this country and remarried a Mr. Nilsen and had several more children including Carl Nilsen and Annie Nilsen (Nelson). She resided in Manistee as did her children.”

Marjorie K. Johnson’s inquiry to the Norwegian Emigration Center lists John Christenson’s half brother and sisters as: Anna Clara, Emma, Carl, James. Stepfather as Nels Clauson.

Cannot find the Nelson family in Manistee census.

Noted a possible emmigration entry in the Telemark emmigration Index, LDS 6350054 fische 5: 15 March 1888 sailed “til Manistel med Geiser 15/3” from Holla Telemark. Find this again.
