    He married Elizabeth Joan Ramsden, daughter of Arthur John Ramsden, on 12 October 1910.
    He died on 7 October 1929 at age 52.
    He was educated at Tavistock Grammar School, Tavistock, Devon, England.
    He was with the Sarawak Civil Service.
