Obituary
- "The Republican and Savannah [GA] Evening Ledger", December 3, 1811:
- "Died, in March, 1811, in Union District, S. C., in the 96th year of her age, Mrs. Judith Edmondson, a native of Virginia. She was the mother of eleven children, the grandmother of ninety-five, the great-grandmother of three hundred and one, the great-great-grandmother of fifteen, in all 422. This enumeration was made and is certified by Hosea Holcomb and William Jackson, who suppose that several of the descendants of Mrs. Edmondson were not included, as being unknown to them. They also add, that very few of the four hundred and twenty-two enumerated descendants of that lady were dead at the time of her death."
