Sharpe, 82, of Rt. 1, Graham, -will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at Mt. Hermon Methodist Church, Mr. SHARPE died unexpectedly at his home yesterday morning at [?] o'clock following several years of failing health. He was a native of Alamance County, son of the late Pinkney and Martha Ellen Isley SHARPE. A retired farmer, he was a member of Mt. Hermon Methodist Church, Survivors include his wife, Mrs.. Mary Emma Shoffner SHARPE; three daughters, Mrs.. J. H. Isley of Rt. 1, Graham, Mrs.. M. R. Stratton of Burlington and Mrs.. A. W. Shoemaker of Graham; four sons, J. W. SHARPE Jr.., Thomas SHARPE and Harry SHARPE, all of Graham, and Marvin SHARPE of Rt. 1, Graham; one sister, Mrs.. E. F. Holt of Rt. 1, Graham; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. W. Russell Johnson, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at McClure Funeral Home in Graham until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock. Pallbearers, all grandsons of Mr. SHARPE, will be Keith SHARPE, Larry SHARPE. Auburn Isley, Daniel Isley, Curtis Isley and Alvin Isley
The will of the late JUDGE Washington SHARPE, as reported in Monday's Daily Times-News, indicated that his estate was left to his widow, Mrs.. Mary Emma SHARPE and two sons, Harry SHARPE and J. W. SHARPE Jr.. The family later stated that the entire estate went to Mrs.. SHARPE, with the sons receiving only a shotgun and a box of wrenches, respectively. M r. SHARPE provided for his older children in the will in the event Mrs.. SHARPE did not survive him, but did not list them by name. References
