It is thought that they left from Tennessee and settled in Childress, Texas in the panhandle Started with 8 children 4 died, 4 living where 2 sons (see notes on George Allen) and 2 daughters Left Tennessee sometime between 1848 and 1850 because they were in Bastrop County as of 29 August 1850 for the census.
