ALT date of death: The souce document by Jean Tibbetts has his date of death as 23 December 1883 but a photo of his gravestone shows inscription "Died Dec 22, 1883".

From the National Register of Historic Homes: "Mary Roberta Offutt, the last Jackson to live in the house . . ." "When the house passed out of Jackson ownership in 1928 it was in dire need of repair."
