Obituary Josephine Hinman, 84

Josephine Hinman, 84, 'of Bridgeport, NE died October 4, 1999 at Heritage of Bridgeport. A memorial graveside service will be held, Monday, October 18, 1999 at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery with Rev. James Kidd officiating. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory in Scottsbluff. Memorials may by given to the Presbyterian Church. Christensen Bridgeport Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign the register book, Thursday and Friday, October 14 and 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Christensen Bridgeport Memorial Chapel

She was born October 6, 1914 at Sioux County, NE to Loring C. and Cliffie (Covalt) Robinson. She received her education at Loon Lake, WA. Schools and graduated from Hot Springs, SD in 1933. She married William Hinman on October 22, 1947 at Dalton, NE. She was a member of the First. Presbyterian Church where she served as card chairperson for the Presbyterian Women's Association for many years. She was secretary for Sunday School at Berea, NE and helped with Bible School at Berea and Lisco, NE. She loved reading her Bible and read many books weekly until her sight failed her. She had a great interest in genealogy, wrote many poems, one which was published. She was "Grandma Jo" to the 1st grade in 1990 and had a large stamp collection. She enjoyed all activities at Heritage. She did a lot of crocheting and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her sister, Frances Collins of Manderson, WY, several nieces and nephew, including Harvey Collins of Cody, WY and Lucille Powell of Bridgeport, sisters-in-law, Mabel McIrvin of Bridgeport and Edna Davis of Grand Junction, CO and brother-in-law, Harvey Hinman of Moses Lake, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William and her parents.
