The following note is quoted from a letter written by Mr. William F. Davis, of Kansas City, Mo. and dated 12 June 1948. "Joseph, son of Richard (3), and brother of Sowyel, left Burke Co., North Carolina, and his progeny is to be found in Columbus, Ga., from Charles M. Woolfolk." Mr. Davis wrote a paper on the descendents of Richard Woolfolk III, and it can be found in the Woolfolk Family File, library, KHS.
