- This Indenture made this 25th day of June 1810 Between John Patterson of the County of Adair & State of Kentucky of the one part and Joseph Walker of the County & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds to him the said John Patterson paid the receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & Sold and by these presents, doth grant bargain & Sell unto the said Joseph Walker a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres lying in Adair County on Pettits fork of Russels Creek & bounded as follows to wit, [boundaries omitted] with its appurtenances to have & to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all & Singular its appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any __ appertaining to bind the said Joseph Walker his heirs & assigns forever and the said John Patterson for his heirs doth Covenant & agree to with the said Joseph Walker his heirs &c. that the aforesaid tract or parcel of land __ they will warrant & forever defend from the clause? of himself and his heirs & from the claim of every person or persons Whatsoever. :In Testimony he the said John Patterson hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year aforesaid.
