Will of Joseph Reenels, decd.

This indenture made this thirtyeth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty
I Joseph Reenels being of Sound and perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament in manner and form following
First. and all I give and bequeath unto my Second Son John fifty acres of land whereon I now live with all the improvements therein and also all of the house hould and kitchen furniture and one mare and two head of Cattle and Sixteen head of hots - and seven head of sheep - and further more the Said John Reenels is to keep and maintain the said Joseph Reenels and his wife Leah desently [sic] so long as they live. then all of the above Mentioned property is to be and remain the property of the said John Reenels forever to him heirs Executors and administrators and assigns forever and I do hereby appoint the said John Reenels Sole Executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this 30th Day of August 1830.
Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named Joseph Reenels to be his last Will and tetament in the presence of us who have hereunto Subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of testators

    Goodspeed's History of Greene County, Tennessee. 1887 tells us "The first Baptist Church in the county was organized in 1793 or 1794 on Lick Creek. Among the first members were Phillip Hale, Robert Fristoe, William Johnson, B. Hopper, Samuel Baker, Thomas Wyatt and Richard Curtin. - Another church known as Flay Branch was organized at New Providence Meeting-house in 1803. Of its early members may be mentioned D. D. Shackleford, Nehemiah Woolsey, George Jones, Thomas D. Mason, V. Reynolds, Joshua Hardin, Frederick Dewitt, Joseph Reynolds, James Houston, J. Gilbert, H. Gilbert, Jeremiah Broyle, and Giles Parman. The name of this church in 1885 was changed to Mountain View.[1]
