[edit] Records of Joseph Pullen, Sr.Deed: Thomas Wilson to Joseph Pullen, 1 Oct 1799, Rockbridge Co, Virginia. I don't know how many acres this is for, but it is in Deed Book D page 153 Just as an interesting fact - Thomas Wilson deeded land to Elijah Vansandt on 6 Jan 1795 (Deed Book C page 118). Per "A History of Methodism in Rockbridge County, Virginia", by Albert M. Cupp; Chapters 11 - 20, William Pullen (tentative son to Joseph) purchased this land at a later date, a portion of which was given to build a church today known as the Mt. Horeb Methodist Church. • Treasury Warrant 22214: 83 acres on Buffaloe Creek, 20 May 1804, Rockbridge Co, Virginia. The warrant was sealed/signed on 17 Aug 1805 in Richmond. • Land Purchase: 176 acres on Buffaloe Creek, 24 May 1804, Rockbridge Co, Virginia. Rockbridge County, VA Deed Book E, p. 274.

[gives metes and bounds, corner Joseph Morris] • Census: Probably Joseph - the first name is smeared, 1810, Rockbridge Co, Virginia. 1 male > 45 (Joseph), 1 female >45 (Nancy), 2 males 10-15, 2 males 16-25, 1 female <10, 2 females 16-25 - maybe some of these are grandchildren • Land Sale: 176 acres on Buffalo Creek, 5 Jun 1818, Rockbridge Co, Virginia. For $250, Joseph Pullen and Nancy his wife of Botetourt to Joseph Cloyd. On Waters of Buffalo Creek, adjoining Joshua Vansandt, Samuel Weightman heirs, William Hall.
