Joseph Jackson is mentioned as a son in his father's 1843 Will recorded in Allegany Co., Maryland Will Book Liber A Folio pgs 239 & 240. As the first known deed for his father in Allegany County, Maryland was in 1793, it is assumed that the children born before that date were all born in Salem Co., New Jersey. If the age on his gravestone is correct, he was born in 1772.
