1723 Age 33 Land Patent, Henrico, Virginia. He obtained a patent for 200 acres next to Joseph Mayo in Henrico County on the south side of the James River.
July 19, 1731 Age 41 Land Exchanged. 1723 he obtained a patent for 200 acres next to Joseph Mayo in Henrico County on the south side of the James River. He exchanged this land 19 July 1731 with James Nevill for a nearby 400 acres.

27Dec1750 - Will of Joseph Hooper of Cumberland County To my wife Elizabeth four Negros Ben, Jude, Dinah & Moll and the plantation whereon I now live containing 200 acres, feather Bead, 3 Cows & Calves and all goods in the house. Also all the Cattle that is at the fork of Willis's and all the Cattle where I now live & one Negro Girl named Sarah. One Negroe boy named Jeffery, During her Life and the said Negro to Joseph Stinson after her Death. My horse Dragon & all my Stock of Hoggs & all the money that is due me in England. The Disposing of Ben & moll as she shall think fit & proper To Elizabeth Stinson one Negro girl named Peg to her & her heirs & if she dies before she comes of age then the said Pegg is for Joannah Stinson. To my son Inlaw Henry Trent 200 acres of land whereon he now lives during his natural life. Also one negro named Jude after the death of my [words omitted - wife?] during the life of the said Henry Trent and to George Hooper after his death. To my nephew George Hooper three Negoes Harry, Cate & Cuff and 200 acres of Land on Willises River part of 390 Acres that I bought of Nathaniel Jeffs. My great Bible and 190 Acres of Land Joyning the former given him and all my possessions of Land after the Death of my wife and Henry Trent. One Negroe Named Dinah and all her Increase and if the said George Hooper dies without heirs then the said Lands & Negroes to become Hugh Hoopers & his heirs. To John Stinson my Silver watch & 10 pounds to be laid out in a set of Black Smiths Tools. Executrix: Wife Elizabeth Hooper.
To my friend George Carrington I Command the Care of this will to see it Executed & I give him five pounds to buy a Suit of Mourning at my Death.
