J. M. Green who has been conducting a machine shop here for the past 17 years died in our city on last Friday night of blood poison brought on by injury to a leg which happened several months ago. The deceased was born in Ohio, but came to Arkansas in 1872 and came to this city from Hot Springs in 1895. He was married in Hot Springs and was the father of three boys, Elmore, Guy, and Miles, who survive him[.] He was a quiet and peaceful citizen and was a skilled machinist. 1-16-13 page 1 col 5.
