Notes from Find A Grave

Elmo, called Ed, was the oldest of three brothers. Both his brothers died in the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918. Ed was married first to Florence Elizabeth Hill, and second to Adelaide Estelle Hill. He had four children by his first wife, and seven children by his second wife. He was the son of a Civil War soldier (20th Ohio Infantry). His mother died when he was just 10 years old. He worked in the oil fields of Texas, and at the very famous oil well, Spindletop. After he was employed by Texaco, he was transferred to Florida, then Georgia, where he died in 1971 at the age of 89.
