He appears to have had a son, George Frederick Charles Chatt (named after his uncle?), who died 26 Aug 1942 in the Military Hospital York, per Probate records of 1944, where he is listed to reside at 59 Stumperlowe-crescent-road, same address as Joseph and Betsy, and his effects go to "Betsy Hannah Chatt widow", his mother.
