    "Joseph2 Baldwin, son of Joseph1 and his first wife Hannah, was born, probably about 1640, in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut, and baptized there in 1644 by Rev. Peter Prudden of the First Church. … In 1663 Joseph2 Baldwin's first child was recorded in Milford. Sometime between February 1669 and October 1672, probably by June 1670, he followed his father to settle in Hadley, where his father gave him half his house and property in lot 18. Joseph2 Baldwin died in Hadley 27 November 1681."

    "2. Joseph (Baldwin)2 Joseph,1 of Hadley, Mass., b. in Milford, Conn., about 1640; bapt. March 23, 1644. In 1666, he was freeman in Hadley, where be settled with his father. They not unlikely lived together, as the father conveyed to the son one-half in common of the homestead. He was named executor in his father's will, but died first, Nov. 21, 1681. … Mr. Boltwood's 'History of Hadley' makes Sarah [Coley] a 2nd wife, making the name of the first Elizabeth. In the Hadley Records, Mehitable 1st & 2nd, Hannah and the first Mary appear as the children of Joseph and Elizabeth his wife, Samuel and 3rd Hannah appear to Joseph and Sarah."
