Feb 1742/3: Division of estate: widow married to Benjamin Nurse, one third; eldest son Oliver of Harvard and to pay youngest son Joseph, eldest daughter Mary Bennett, daughters Elizabeth and Hannah. [Note: this abstract misses that Joseph is to pay his sister Patience here. Oliver granted extra share to support Uncle Stephen, for which task he posted bond. Bonds posted by William Bennett of Groton [married daughter Mary] Israel Taylor of Harvard [as guardian for Elisabeth], Peter Atherton of Harvard [guardian for Joseph], Thomas Houghton of Bolton [guardian of Hannah and Patience] that if funds allocated are not sufficient to care for Uncle Stephen, they are responsible for a proportional share of the cost.
