- ↑ Note that the age at death in Pepperell matches pretty closely the birthdate of the first daughter named Elizabeth. This seems to have confused the Families of Cavendish into apparently misreporting the death date as 1757, but that is impossible as the husband remarried 6 months earlier. The probate of Joseph Atherton (Worcester 2019) occurred in 1735 and sheds no light on Elizabeth's marriage, though daughter Elizabeth is mentioned in the distribution, older than daughter Hannah b. 1731 based on the order mentioned. The baptisms suggest that the birth record of the 2nd daughter Elizabeth is an error and is a misrecording the the town clerk of the birth of son Joseph. So Elizabeth was born in 1727, and died in 1755, age 28+ years old.
