WHEREAS the Commissioner acting in the prosecution of a Fiat in Bankruptcy awarded and issued forth against Joseph Birnie Allen, of No. 2, Clifton-cottages, Loughborough Road, Brixton, in the county of Surrey, and No. 5, Hatton-garden, in the city of London, Brick Merchant and Ironmonger, Dealer and Chapman, hath duly certified, that the said Joseph Birnie Allen hath in all things conformed himself according to the directions of the Acts of Parliament made and now in force concerning bankrupts; this is to give notice, that, by virtue of an Act, passed in the tenth and eleventh years of the reign of Her present Majesty Queen Victoria, instituled " An Act to abolish the Court of Review in Bankruptcy, and to make alterations in the jurisdiction of the Courts of Bankruptcy and Court for Relief of Insolvent Debtors," the Certificate of the said Joseph Birnie Allen will be allowed and confirmed by the Vice Chancellor of the High Court of Chancery acting in Bankruptcy, unless cause be shown to the contrary, on or before the 17th day of November 1848. NOTICE is hereby given, that the Copartnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned,
Joseph Birnie Allen and William Spilsbury, of Wolverhampton, in the county of Stafford, and of Hatton-garden, in the city of London, Factors and Wholesale Ironmongers, was this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to or by the said concern are to be paid to or by the said William Spilsbury.—Dated this 23d day of November 1846.

a Fiat in Bankruptcy awarded and issued forth against Joseph Birnie Allen, of No. 2, Clifton-cottages, Loughborough-road, Brixton, in the county of Surrey, and No. 5, Hatton-garden, in the city of London, Brick Merchant and Ironmonger, Dealer and Chapman, will sit on the 19th day of February instant, at eleven of the clock in the forenoon precisely, at the Court of Bankruptcy, in Basinghall- street, in the city of London (by adjournment from the 8th day of January last), in order to take the Last Examination of the said bankrupt; when and where he is required to surrender himself, and make a full discovery and disclosure of his estate and effects, and finish his examination; and the creditors, who have not already proved their debts, are to come prepared to prove the same.[4]
