ABEENE - Harold Abeene of 73546 Abeene Lane, London, died July 13, 1987, at the age of 87. He was born April 19, 19000, in Springfield, Oregon. He was a past member of the Church of Christ. He had worked in the woods as a logger for most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Garland C.; 3 daughters: Lucille Lusk and Lovelle Stimmel, both of Cottage Grove and Laveta Hughes of Dallas, Texas; 4 sisters and brothers: Dorothea Hess, Macell Dulley, Claude and Marell Abeene, all of Cottage Grove; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Zelma Small and 2 brothers, Ivan and Claris Abeene. Memorial services will be Thursday, July 23, 1987, t 2 p.m. at Bohemia Elementary School, south entrance, 721 South R. St., Cottage Grove. SMITH-LUND-MILLS FUNERAL CHAPEL, directors.
