The marriage of Jonathan Sever to Priscilla Leeds, the daughter of Isaac and Rebecca Leeds, was included in Jesse Montgomery Seaver's typescript, "The Seaver Family," published by the author in Philadelphia, PA in 1924, and also in William Blake Trask's article "The Seaver Family" published in the New England Historic Genealogical Register, Volume 26, Pages 302-326, October 1871. However, there are no vital records for this marriage. In the 1800 United States Census, Jonathan Severs was a head of household in Renselaer County, New York. The household included one free white male aged 16 to 26, one free white male over age 45, and one free white female over age 45 (1800 United States Census, Renselaar County, New York, Page 888, FHL Microfilm 0,193,714). In the 1810 United States Census, J. Sever was a head of household in Troy town, Renselaer County, New York. The household included one male over age 45, one female aged 10 to 16, one female aged 16 to 26 and one female aged 26 to 45 (1810 United States Census Population Schedule, Troy town, Renselaer County, New York, Page 030, FHL Microfilm 0,181,389). In the 1820 United States Census, Jonathan Seaver was a head of household residing in Troy town, Rensselaer County, New York. The household included one free white male over age 45, one free white female aged 10 to 16, two free white females aged 16 to 26 and one free white female aged 26 to 45 (1820 United States Census, Rensselaer County, New York, Population Schedule, Troy, Page 214, FHL Microfilm 0,193,723). Jonathan Sever's death notice appeared in the "Columbian Centinel" newspaper dated 3 September 1828. It reads: "Sever, Jonathan, a native of Roxbury, d. in Troy NY aged 85." References
