Two marriages have been assigned here to Jonathan Riggs: (1) 25 December 1728 to Mary Tilton who died 31 July 1742 and (2) 13 December 1742 to Sarah Phipps. These dates work well for two marriages for one man. Only children from the second marriage are mentioned in the distribution of Jonathan's estate, however.

    Bristol County Deeds show Jonathan Riggs late of "Glosester" in Essex Co and now of Attleboro, Bristol Co MA sold for Ð53 to William Richinson of Attleboro, husbandman, land at Attleboro.  Signed 6 December 1758 (with his signature).  Witnessed 13 December 1758 by Alexander Haskell & Ezekiell Marshall.
    On 31 October 1759 Jonathan Riggs bought land from Alexander Haskall.
    On 7 December 1759 Sarah Riggs of Attleborough was appointed administrator of the estate of her late husband, Jonathan Riggs of Attleborough, decd.  (Dated at Norton by George Leonard, Judge of Probate.)  Jonathan Capron, John Daggett and Naphteti Guild all of Attleborough appointed to take inventory 7 December 1759.
    Inventory was returned 10 January 1759.  It included a best suite of apparrel, an all wool coat, jacket, grey breeches, great coat, a great looking glass and a small looking glass, beds and bedsteads, 5 pewter plates, 18 pounds of old pewter ware, one old Bible and other old books, tables, churn, bridle, saddle and pillion, 2 linnen wheels, 1 woolen wheel, chest of joiners tools, corn, oats, rye, pork, beef ...  Ð2:12s:18p due from Ezekiel Mashell - Total moveable estate of 37:4:2 - One  piece of land that was made over to William Richardson 68:13:4 - Total estate Ð113:0:0.  Taken 10 January 1759 by John Daggett, Jonathan Capron and Napthli Guild.
    On 5 September 1760, 145 acres of land in the estate, were appraised at Ð179:13s:4p. Dower to widow.
    On 4 April 1763 at Bristol Sarah Riggs, Administratrix on the estate of Jonathan Riggs late of Attleborough, decd. presented her account: Personal estate charged to herself Ð41:12:10. Received for land sold by Order of the Superior Court. - from Jonathan Capron 17:6:8 - from William Richardson 6:16:0 - from Hezekiah Peck 2:3:4 - from David White 2:17:11 Total of 70:16:9. What was allowed in the former accompt 28:17:10. - paid to Napthali Guild 15:5:3/4 - paid to Stephen Pond 16:0:0 - paid to Naph. Guild 13:0:0 - paid to Alexander [Tarster] 1:1:0  - paid to David Witherell 1:9:10 ... to William Bolton .. John Daggett, Jonathan Capron, Henry Sweet, William Richardson, Hezekiah Peck, Ezekiel Marshall, Jonas Richardson, Noah Sabin, Doctor Man, Capt. Daggit, Richard Fiske, James Tripp ... total of 68:15:10-3/4.  Sarah Riggs signed her mark. There yet remains to creditors of the estate: - to Thomas Luskindue 1:10:8 - to Adam Wellman 1:6:0 - to William Haskell 0:17:3. Total 3:13:11.
    On 30 October 1765, division and distribution of the real estate of Jonathan Riggs of Attleborough, Bristol was made by Major Jonathan Capron, John Dagget, [M ]  Guild, Hezekiah Peck and Jonas Richardson, all of Attleborough charged to inventory and distribute.  A third was allowed the widow. The remainder was distributed:
    1) John Riggs the eldest son 2-1/2 acres in the orchard on the east of the house, bordered northerly by the land that was sett off to the deceased's widow for her third, easterly by the pine swamp lots... and 3/10 parts of all that part of the house not set off to the widow for her third.  appraised at Ð9-5s-8p 2 farthings being his two shares.
    2) Abimelech Riggs the second son of the decd his share 2-1/4 acres on the westerly side of the house plus 1/10 of the house appraised at Ð4-12s-10p-2f.
    3) Comfort Riggs, daughter, 2-1/4 acres plus 1/10 part of hou
    4) Sarah Barker daughter of decd 3 acres plus 1/10 part of hou
    5) Susannah Burden, wife of Tomas Burden, daughter of decd, 3 acres and 1/10 part of house.
    6) Mary Haskall, Jemima Davis and Ruth Bray the wife of Nathaniel Bray and daughters of the decd, their 3 parts in the estate = about 11 acres plus 3/10 of the house.  These have by a deed of [fail or int claim deed] to William Richardson.  Recorded 31 Oct 1765.
