Jonathan Prince came from New England, walked all the way. Took up the farm later owned by Thurber Cass in North Orwell. He built a log house and as soon as he could do so he returned to New England and brought his family with an ox team to North Orwell. He brought his wife and their nine children: Chester, Sanford, John, Chandler, Lydia, Dolly, Julia and George.
