  7. "attended the Baptist Church in Hamburg and petitioned the Hamburg church for permission to establish 'The Baptist Church of Christ in Eden."" This was granted and Rev. Hascall became the new church's minister in 1817. After his wife died, he accompanied his son Jonathan, Jr. to Evans where he became the first pastor of a new church there. He later moved with his son's family to the Town of Brant.
