  3. Source:Dorsey, Jean Muir. Robert Fuller of Salem, Massachusetts and Some of His Descendants, p. 3, says Jonathan was born 15 Jun 1643. No such birth record is found, but a birth in Dorchester gives a birth in 15 6th month 1643. In 1643, the 6th month was August, not June, and this Jonathan is recorded as the son of Robert and Anne, not Robert and Sarah. (Sadly, even W. H. Fuller, p. 247, even though correctly identifying the Jonathan of Dorchester, still misinterprets the date as 15 Jun 1643.) So this is clearly a misidentification, using the birthdate of a different Jonathan Fuller. The estimate of Newton Fuller is used because it is distinctly different than this wrong date, though no basis for it is known yet (he claims an age at death of 69, but unknown if that is independently known, or just calculated from his assumption). TAG, Vol. 76, p. 275, says, Clarence Newton "arbitrarily" assigned birthdates, but Newton thought the parents married in Salem in 1639 and he then estimated birth dates based on the order of marriage. The article then says, "There is no evidence that he did not marry Saray in Rehoboth after he arrived there." and then proceeds as if this is sufficient to prove the Salem marriage incorrect and the Rehoboth marriage correct (hardly!), suggesting Jonathan b. about 1644 or 1645. However this would make him under age when he married in 1664, so this seems unlikely.
