I., the date not of record; died prior to Oct., 1800; married (1st) April 9, 1750, his cousin Sarah Comstock (#202), dau. of Thomas and Mercy (Jenckes) Comstock; married (2nd) Susannah Comstock Matteson, sister of Sarah. She d. 1806, aged 86. Jonathan Comstock of Providence, R.I., admitted to vote May 5, 1752. In census of 1774 Jonathan Comstock of West Greenfield had in his family, above 16, 2 males, 2 females; below 16, 1 male, 1 female. A deed of Jonathan Comstock and his wife Sarah, dated Nov. 11, 1755, grants land in East Greenwich to Job Comstock of East Greenwich. Jonathan Comstock was Deputy from East Greenwich in 1781, 1782, 1784 and 1791. Thomas Comstock of East Greenwich, R. I., in his will of June 10, 1761, makes bequest to grandson Charles, eldest son of daughter Sarah, deceased. Will of Jonathan Comstock of West Greenwich, of Aug. 23, 1800, proved Oct. 4, 1800, makes bequests to son John; to wife Susannah; to son Charles; to son Jonathan and his three youngest sons, Amos, Adam, and Cyrus; to daughter Rachel Comstock's five youngest children; to granddaughter Esther Kettle, dau. of Patience Kettle; to grandson Thomas, son of son John.
