The family farm (gård) is located in the southern district (södre) of Nykulla, and is written "Södregrd" in the Tjureda parish records. Several generations live here for almost two hundred years. It's size is stated as "1:1/2 1550" in the 1849-54 record. The records also contain names of a farm worker's family who came from the Tolg parish.

Willie Newquist stated in 1952 that the family possibly moved from Växjö to Böksholm and then to Nykulla. The family was engaged in farming, carpentry, and fishing. The farm land was in the family for several hundred years. When family members later emigrated to the United States, it was still operated by Johannes Peterson.

Annika Bengtsdotter b 1741 Tjureda Parish, Kronobergs County Daughter: Stina Jonasdotter b 1767 Tjureda Parish, Kronobergs County (No listing of father but from her surname one can conclude his name was Jonas)

Stina had a daughter too, Kjerstin Persdotter b 1797 Tolg Parish, Kronobergs County (No listing of father but from her surname one can conclude his name was Per)

Kjerstin married a Nils Regnander who was born 1802 and died 1854 in Tolg Parish, Kronobergs County

They had four sons; Johan, b 1827 Jonas, b 1832 Nils, b 1839 Johannes, b 1842

All named Regnander and born in Tolg, Parish, Kronobergs County

Jonas married a Sara Månsdotter and there are more info on that side."

There is a wedding record (SVAR Volume AI:1) on November 23, 1729 for Anders Johansson in Nykulla. Related information needs translation and requires further research. Johansson is a prominent name over hundreds of years in Nykulla Södergård, and he is assumed to be Jonas Andersson's father.
