Officiating was Rev. Billy Franks, pastor of Oakmont Church of God. Burial was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Jackson died September 4, 1994, following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Mitchell, a former resident of Converse, and a resident of Shreveport most of his life. He was a retired foreman with Kalmbach-Burckett Feeds & Company. He was a member of the First Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey M. Jackson; brothers, Dudley Jackson, and C. B. Jackson; and sister, Juanita Barr. He is survived by his stepsons, Jerry L. Goins of Houston, and John R. Goins of Shreveport; five step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
