From George W. Gildersleeve's file on rootsweb, " ....Some members of the Williams family went from New York to Prince Edward County, Ontario during the early 1830s and stayed there until about 1847 and moved to New Haven in Oswego County, New York. Sometime during this period John Williams married Rachel Jackson, daughter of Rowland. Rachel died childless in 1852 and shortly afterwards, her husband married her younger sister, Nancy. They had several children and lived in Oswego County. John died in 1875 and I find Nancy and her son Homer Williams living there in 1892 in the New York census but no trace of them after that date."
