    John Whipple [baptized] 9 mo 1'mo 1641
[1 Nov 1641, the "1'mo" apparently meaning "primo", Latin for first, as comparison with other dates make it clear that the month came first followed by the day, and that the days were expressed with Latin numbers. This is apparently the reason why some sources mistakenly interpret the date as Mar (e.g., Savage).]
