Stephen Dexter m. Abigail Whipple, d/o John Whipple & Sarah ---, b. ---, d. 19 Aug 1725. Was Widow Abigail Dexter on tax list dated 1 Jul 1679, again 16 Jul 1680, and on petition 6 Jun 1681. Married (2) 1682 William Hopkins. Will of Widow Abigail Hopkins, dated 16 Aug 1725, proved 20 Sep 1725, mentions children John Dexter, William Hopkins, and Abigail Field [Note: GMB says this is Abigail (Dexter) Field], also grandson Stephen Dexter; mentions "son Williams Hopkins and his child and Abigail Hopkins" [quoting the abstract given, this sounds like Abigail is William's wife].
