    John Warner was the second Sherriff of Bedford Co., TN, in 1815, and a census taker. He was reelected to a second term as the fourth Sheriff of the county. He was the husband of Eunice Dixon Warner, daughter of William and Mary Dixon. He was the owner of 250 acres of land where the home place and Warner cemetery is located in Bedford Co., Tn., 2 mi. West of Shelbyville, down Warner Bridge Rd, to Fishing Ford Rd. Now on private land, and the cemetery is completely overgrown with trees and thick brush. There are many unmarked graves, including those of family servants, some of which may be, George, Synthia, Margarett, and two children, Harriet and Jim, age 6, as recorded in family records. These and others have no known markers. John was the brother of Richard Warner, 1794, whose wife was Sarah. Their father was John Warner, Sr., and Pheraby Mears, his wife, who owned 200 acres west of his son's land.
