Friends received word last week from Los Angeles, Cal. stating that John Victoria an honored and respected citizen formerly of this place, passed way at that place July 15th. We learn he has been sick for some time with a cancer. Mr. Victoria was a man well known by all our readers and his death has not only cast a gloom in his home but with all his friends. Death at all times is and we know both old and young must go but when we have known Mr. Victoria as long as we have it seems strange he should be taken away from us. Our sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives.
