NOTE by J.E.S. the above family information was given by Lillie Shaw, daughter of Isaac Stucker, also by Emeline Stucker-Hemphill, daughter of David, and Larkin her brother. Emeline Hemphill thought there was a Michael in this family but was unable to place him. No further data was given on Rebecca Kiser, Sarah Arbuckle, Nancy Fix or Polly Stucker. . . . J.E.S.

(Stucker,Essie 1957 p. 113). JOHN STUCKER . . . . son of George and Margaret Stocker/Stucker. m. 5-29-1792 Rebecca Castle (Castile)Woodford Co., Kentucky. A historian writes he died 1852 at Hartsville,Bartholomew Co., Indiana. He moved from Woodford Co., Kentucky to Jefferson Co., Territory of Indiana about 1802; then later to Bartholomew Co., Indiana when both he and Rebecca were buried on the old Stucker farm. He was in the Revolution, and was a captain in the War of 1812. Here is a copy of a deed made in 1816: "Deed bk. A-308 Jefferson Co.,Indiana, August 1, 1816. John Stucker to David Stucker, John Stucker,Jr., Margaret Arbuckle, wife of John Arbuckle, Jr., Henry Stucker, Elizabeth Stucker, Sarah Stucker, Michael Stucker and Mary Stucker of the other part, my beloved children, for $1,000 the Sw 6-2-10. /s/ JohnStucker" "Witnesses: Wm. McFarland, Eliza McDonald, Mary Ball." Therefore, in line with this deed it is necessary to add three children who were not listed in the book on page 113.... (Stucker, Essie 1958 p.31).

NOTE: You will notice that Rebecca and Nancy were not mentioned in the deed. We previously had "Polly" listed as it was at that time a common practice for a girl named Mary to be called "Polly". According to former notes a Margaret Stucker was taken from the list and put in the family of 23 Jacob, but if she was born in 1791 that Margaret belonged to the Jacob family. The above list now shows four sons and six daughter. Only three of the above births have bee proven to date - the balance would only be guess work. It would appear that some parties to this deed were under 18 but exact data as to their ages have never been obtained.
