John William Spencer born 1845 in Michigan, as recorded of the 1870 census record Maple Valley, Greenville, MI. Not known when or where he died nor where buried.
He was a common farm Laborer, who could not read nor write, parents from Penn. (Montcalm County Clerks record book) Married Alfasate [Alfeseta] Pratt born in Michigan, her parents from New York state. This marriage is not listed in the early (1851-1904) Montcalm County Marriage Records. She was also a common laborer. They had 4 children.
