Lee [s/b See], John - entered service 1777 in Greenbrier County, Virginia, against Indians; later entered service in Botetourt County, Virginia; granted Pension abt. age 75 in Henry County, Indiana in 1832; soldier's surname was also spelled SEE; query letter in 1921 from descendant Cora Davy (Mrs. E.M.) Sherburne, Knightstown, Indiana states soldier's daughter Mary b. 12/25/1787, died 3/22/1877, married Mr. Nugen & they had daughter Elizabeth (d. Kanawha County, West Virginia, 11/1/1804, died 2/10/1891, md. Mr. Hayes) whose daughter Mary (b. 11/14/1828m dued 3.17.1896, married Mr. Davy) was mother of querrier; further soldier was son of George, further Michael & Charles Lee were either brothers or uncles of soldier; query letter in file in 1913 from descendant Essie W. (Mrs. Leroy R) Morris of Long Beach, California; query letter in file states Revolutionary War soldier Christopher Long entered service in Culpeper County, Virginia, where born in 1746, died Henry County, Indiana, 8/14/1829.
