On John's death certificate, it states that he was married but that particulars are not known. Therefore, it does not give any information about his wife and children. It is consequently not certain that this death certificate is for the correct John Power. However, he is of the right age, it is stated that he was born in Ireland (although the place is not given) and he had been married. I am therefore assuming that this is the correct death certificate, as the details are correct as far as they go and I have not found a more likely prospect. The death informant was Robert Leo Graham(?), Surgeon in attendance, Stawell, and the cause of death was Pleurisy (8 days), Sanguineous apoplexy (6 hours).
