BURIAL: 21 Apr 1961 - Funeral service for John George Owens, age 67, who died April 12 were conducted at Middlecreek Baptist church at 3:30 p.m. April 14 with Rev. Earl Marr, Rev. Johnnie Rhodes and Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Interment was in Church cemetery under the direction of the Warren Funeral home.

BURIAL: Survivors are wife, Mrs. Viola Owens of Florien, son, Curtis Owens, of Denver, Colo.; daughters, Mrs. Verda Franton of Pineville, Mrs. Velma Coburn of Florien, sisters, Mrs. Emma Olliff of Robeline, Mrs. Mattie Coburn of Florien, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
