This person does not have any known living descendants. His son had issue, but apparently each of his grandchildren died without issue.

Personal History

John Overton, (second) son of William Overton of Bardney, carpenter, by Jane[1] (Askew), was baptized on 25 November 1813 in the parish of Bardney, Lincolnshire, England.[1]

Marriage and Family

On 11 March 1839, John Overton of Bardney, labourer and son of William Overton, carpenter, and Sarah Quincey of Bardney, daughter of John Quincey, labourer, were married after banns at the parish church of Bardney, Lincolnshire, by J.F. Wray. The marriage was witnessed by (Sarah's father) John Quincey and John Jackson.

Death and Probate

John Overton of Southrey, carpenter, died there on 27 March 1886 of debility and dropsy; the death was registered on 8 April by son-in-law (Sarah's husband) J. Booth of Southrey, who was “present at death”.[2] He was buried on 31 March in the parish of Bardney.[3]
