"The 12 of Aprill 1650: in the ag of the testator 54 born in 1595 July 23 In the name off God Amen I John ossgood off Andever in the County of Essex in new England Being Sick of Body But in Pfect memory do institut and mak my last will and Testament in maner and fforme as ffolloweth Inprins I bequeath ║and║ Giue my Soule in to the hand of God my heauenly ffather through the medyation of Jesus Christ my Blessad Saviour and Redeemer my Body to the earth ffrom whenc it was taken my Goods and chatells as ffolloweth Inprinis I do Giue Vnto my Sonn John Ossgood my hous and hous lot with all acomedationes thervnto Belonging Brooken vp and Vnbroken Vp and with all the medow thervnto belonging fforeuer with this proviso y^t my wif Sarah ossgood shall haue the moyety or the on half of the hous and land and medowes during her naturall life.    John Osgood of Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts, was born in the parish of Wherwell, Hampshire, England, 23 July, 1595; died in Andover, 24 October, 1651. He married in England, about 1627, Sarah, who died 8 April, 1667.

Oct. 1645, and the first rep. of the town, 1651; d. 24 Oct. of that yr. A wid. Sarah O. d. at A. 8 Apr. 1667. His ch. were Sarah; John, b. in Eng. a. 1631; Stephen, a. 1638; Mary; Eliz.; all bef. he went to A. and there had Hannah, 1644; and prob. Deborah. Sarah m. 1 June 1648, John Clement; Mary m. 6 July 1653, Henry Ingalls; Eliz. m. 12 Oct. 1659, John Brown of Reading; Hannah m. 21 May 1660, Samuel Archer; and Deborah m. 28 Aug. 1663, John Russ.
