John Noel Sr. (1722-1765) settled in Paradise Township, York County, PA. He was a shoemaker and farmer. His wife was named Margaret, maiden name not known. John Sr.'s will was wrirtten on Oct. 27, 1765 and probated on Jan. 10, 1766. John was a landowner in Paradise Township, where he died. As seen from the all the children moving to Hampshire County, Virginia. This area was a popular place and the mountain land was very inexpensive.
