Vernon Elmer Nichols (b. 1869) m. 1894 Lulu M. Phillips (b. 1872). 2. John J. Nichols (b. 1848) m. 1868 Mary O. Hiscock (b. 1851). 3. Joel Richard Hiscock (1824-88) m. 1849 Mercy Ann Sweat (b. 1829). 4. Joel Hiscock (1781-1854) m. 1808 Annie Spring (1787-1873). 5. Richard Hiscock m. 1780 Sarah Cody (1763-1844). Richard Hiscock (1758-1840) enlisted, 1775, as private in Capt. James Mellen's company, Col. Jonathan Ward's regiment, Massachusetts [p.279] troops. He served other enlistments until 1781. His widow received a pension. He was born in Hopkinton, Mass.; died in Pompey, N. Y.
