A note is appended to the effect that this John de Moleyns is said to descend from Robert de Molins and his wife Agnes de Grandmesnil, but the heir of this Robert was his brother Simon, who d.s.p., as did his brother, Hugh. It is not clear if there is a connection to Robert through another brother.
