His wife, Sarah, born Dec. 1868, 32, mother of 8 children only 7 living, cannot read or write. The children listed are: Willie, born May 1887, is 13, has gone to school for 3 months and can read and write; Erana, born Feb 1889 is 11 and also went to school but cannot read or write; Johnie, born Oct 1891 is 8 and went to school but cannot read or write; Arthur, born Jul 1893 is 6; Myrtle(?) born Jan. 1895 is 5; Early, born Jan 1897 is 3 and Lillian, born Jan 1899 is 1. Everyone is born in NC

1910 Census-John T. Mobblay (sic) is head of house, age 50 2nd year of his 2nd marriage, he is a farmer and owns his farm free but he cannot read or write. His wife, Lizie (sic) is 38 and in the 2nd year of her first marriage and has no children, she also cannot read or write. The children are listed as: Willie, age 23, he works in the mill; Evander, daughter age 19; John, son age 16; Arther (sic), son age 14; Murt (sic), daughter age 13; Earlie, daughter age 11; Lillie, daughter age 9; and Ceme (?), daughter age 8; all are farm labor working on the home farm. There are two more daughters, Sarah, age 6 and Dollie, age 4. The older children can all read and write and everyone speaks English. Everyone is born in NC

1920 Census-John T Mobley, owns free his farm, age 60. Wife: Lizzie, age 48. Children: John, 24; Senia, 17; Sarah, 16; Dellie, 14; Willia, grandson, 6; Lester Borisan, grandson, 3 yrs. 1 mo. All are born in NC

1930 Census-John T Mobley, owns his farm, age 70, first marriage at age 25. Wife: Lizzie, age 57, first marriage at age 35. Willis Carroll is a grandson, age 17. All are born in NC. The farm next door is Arthur Mobley; age 37, first marriage at age 21. Wife: Lucy R, age 24, first marriage at age 18. Children: Dorthey, 13; Annie F, 11; Willard, 9; Elwood R, 7; Minar, 5; Lucy, 2
