About the 50th anniversary my dad had this to say, Joseph McLean was related to Jenny, Gladys Gleason was a cousin of Mae Newquist, Xavier Gareau was a family friend who sang "Dixie" ( John spent time in New Orleans ) was distinguished looking with a white goatee. John Otto was an aged former pastor . The anniversary was an all day affair, with my dad serving mass in the morning, and being given the day off from school. Late in the evening he remembers carrying some of the gifts to John's house at the end of cool but nice day.

Bud Newquist recalls meeting Jennie's relative, John McLean (McLain?) who lived in Philadelphia. He would bring his family to visit Genevieve at Steger. Mike Newquist has a picture of the McLean sisters.

Talked with my Dad about the McLeans. It seems one of the daughters was named Barbara, she was a little older than my Dad. They lived in Germantown, Pa. Their visit happened in the summer.

Note: Germantown is made up of Wards 12, 13, & 54 in Philadelphia.
