    This attribution increasingly suspect. It certainly isn't correct for this person, who isn't of a proper age to be head of a family in the 1790 census. While it may be his father, the John Mason in New Durham seems (along with most of the other folks settling New Durham) to be traceable to Durham/Oyster River.
