Note: John Marr that married Susanna Perkins is likely (but not proven) to the the son of Gideon Marr. Gideon Marr was a practicing attorney in (among other counties) Pittsylvania County, and he and Nicholas Perkins are both mentioned in "The History of Pittsylvania County", by Maud Carter Clement. Nicholas Perkins' family is detailed on page 95 of this excellent publication, and he had two children, Constant (married Agatha Marr) and Susanna (married John Marr) that married likely children of Giedon Marr of Pittsylvania County.

There are Familysearch submissions that appear to confirm the above-mentioned suspicion, but more proof is necessary to prove this relationship.
